Kristian Hermanson is here with his first soloalbum after his years in The Poodles and Friends. But - and it is a big but - we don't talk about the same sort of music for one second. Here he delivers smashgrabbing wellproduced modern powerpop with a touch of Daniel Powter, Gavin DeGraw and you know the others. And I can sure recommend this CD for you. It's filled with uplifting songs like the opening "My Lazy Sunday", "A Brand New Day" and "Stabby Road" with groovy horns. Add Kristians solid voice and a bunch of other nice tunes and you have a real check up in this album. That - if you like happy pill pop without any deeper thoughts. Cause if you're looking for that you're on the wrong train. 3,5 bright shining stars and warmly recommended.
